Sunday 26th July - Songs of Joy

Welcome to worship today. We're really pleased to be welcoming a guest speaker, Matt Jones, who is travelling all the way from Nottingham to speak to us today. Matt is a Baptist Minister and member of Westdale Lane Baptist Church in Nottingham amongst many other things, including being Claire's Brother-in-Law.

Our Prayers today are led by Ivy and also include an update on some church news and on plans for September from Claire, so make sure you have a listen if you want to know what is going on!

We meet for coffee on zoom after the service at 12.15pm. The link is here

Worship

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;

come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God.

It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;

give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;

his faithfulness continues through all generations Psalm 100:1-5

Songs for today. You might want to save one or two for the end.

What brings you joy? What are the things that have kept you going in the last few months? What do you have to celebrate?

It's good to praise God and give thanks - we are probably missing our instruments we play during services so you might want to make your own to use as you praise at home. There are some examples on this website or you might have other creative ideas https://www.daniellesplace.com/html/bible-themes-praise-singing.html#maracas

Here's a song of joy for when you've made them.... (or even if you haven't!)
